When our daughter was first diagnosed with severe scoliosis that needed surgery without delay, we were shocked and didn’t know what to do. As a physical therapist, I understood firsthand how detrimental surgery could be. We then started a frantic search for alternative treatment. We then decided to cancel our daughter’s surgery and give bracing a try. Today, four and a half years later and my daughter has completely finished growing, her improvement remains at a very stable range. That is from the initial 50+ degrees curve to now at 30 degrees.
